Who We Are

Friends Career Center was born from a simple yet powerful observation: young East African individuals, whether building their lives in Rwanda or navigating the Canadian diaspora, face significant systemic barriers that limit their potential.

We saw talent being wasted—not for lack of ambition, but for lack of access. Access to mentors, to mental health support, to professional networks that open doors.

FCC exists to bridge these gaps. We operate as a transnational organization, uniquely positioned to serve youth on both sides of the Atlantic with culturally responsive programs that honor their heritage while building their futures.

Our Core Values

Compassion

We lead with empathy, care, and a deep commitment to supporting young people as they navigate life’s challenges and opportunities.

Community

We believe lasting change happens through meaningful relationships, collaboration, and collective action.

Connection

We build bridges across cultures, generations, and borders, creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and thrive together.

Changemakers

We believe young people are leaders today. We equip them with the confidence, skills, and opportunities to create lasting change in their communities.
