Who We Are
We are a youth-led organization working in Rwanda and Canada to help underserved youth overcome barriers through mentorship, mental wellness, career development, and entrepreneurship. Rooted in Quaker values and open to all, we believe every young person deserves the chance to reach their full potential.
The Challenge: Barriers to Potential
Young East African individuals, whether building their lives in Rwanda or navigating the Canadian diaspora, face significant systemic barriers that limit their potential.
- In Rwanda: Challenges include limited access to vocational training, lack of professional networks, and high youth unemployment rates.
- In Canada: Youth face acculturation stress, systemic barriers in the job market, and the weight of transgenerational trauma from conflict and displacement.
FCC exists to bridge these gaps, ensuring that talent and ambition are never wasted.
